Laurina was a magnificent being. Her scales were golden and the light danced around her casting a soft hue, with eyes as blue as the sky that looked right into my soul but didn’t threaten. I was mesmerized by her beauty. Laurina stature was smaller than if and she had fewer spikes.
To her left sat an elf with brilliant soft green hues. He was no bigger than on, but he seemed much older. Not in a physical sort of way, but there was something in his eyes. I sensed wisdom from him and was comforted in his presence. As he spoke the scent of fresh cut grass filled my head, We have been waiting for you son. They call me Asëa, High Mage.
The third throne to the right of the golden dragon, Laurina, was occupied by a man adorned in splendid gold and cream robes. His hair was long and white as the fluffiest clouds. His skin was a creamy white and he spoke with a voice of velvet, I am Saint John, and it was I who adorned you with your dragon emblem. I grabbed my left shoulder, and my birthmark slightly tingled. As he approached me, he didn’t seem to walk but rather glide with smoothness over the marble. His long ivory robe caressed the floor as he advanced. Together, we who created the Order of St. John are most pleased with your purity. St. John gestured the other Mages who were nodding in agreement.
I didn’t reply, but not because I was at a loss for words; it just didn’t seem like any were needed. St. John warm smile was soothing as he placed his arm around my shoulders. Am I dead? I asked casually.
No my son, you are in the presence of the Court of Order, in the Enchanted Realm. You have entered in the most honorable way of any past Adrastai. Others before you believed they had to perform skills to prove their worth, but you simply stated what you believed in. You summoned the Column of Light from within your soul, when others needed to walk through one created for them. We have been waiting over one thousand years for your arrival. You will restore Goodness and Light. St. John words fell upon me like butterfly wings beating against my skin.
Unclear how to respond to his words, I humbly looked to the floor. To my amazement, golden vines were growing up the cream fabric in his robe and intricately weaving into a deokite shape. My astonishment was interrupted by Asëa voice, You have restored a new sense of hope to our cause, but you will not succeed on your own. The light sprites danced in front of his face writing the words he spoke in the air with their magic. It was like the Protogenoi were trying to press upon me the importance of the phrase that I would not succeed on my own.
This truly was an Enchanted Realm. My senses experienced the magic like I was showered in it. Even the air tasted light, just inhaling was amazing. I started to feel like I never wanted to leave. This is a very special place, that is certain, but your place is on the back of a glorious Dragon, Laurina cooed. Previously my mind was dizzy in awe of the splendors of the ivory court, but that phrase grounded me.
